WISH YOU WERE HERE…

“It is only in their absence do we realize what some people meant to us”…

Apart from the day to day happenings in life, an important aspect of life to which we do not give due importance to is meeting new people…making ‘Friends’…knowing them…sharing lives.. With each passing day, we hardy realize how close we get to them and life looks incomplete in their absence. It feels really great when no matter how old you get and your same friend always greets you with, “ Kaise hai kamine, saale bhul gaya dost ko ? ”
My family often complains that I’m more partial towards my friends often but somehow I don’t deny it either…I’m a true Aquarius… friendship…promises…commitments mean the world to me. I have always had long lasting friendships with people. What makes me write this is that apart from all the positivity and happiness around me, there are a few people I miss a lot in life…people whom I shared my life with…my dreams…aspirations…happiness, sorrows…tears, laughter…friendship, love…they shared theirs equally…But for some reason, the smallest of misunderstandings, saying or doing something in the heat of the moment, expressing the feeling of love, family opposing the bonding and others, I have lost a few wonderful friends…Their absence really hurts a lot…Though I have a habit of always apologizing when I know I’m wrong, my efforts are not always rewarding…Soon people move on…they meet new people, make new friends…find love..but the loss is always mutual and they eventually feel the pinch too…
And after a few years when they meet again, its just a matter of time for someone to break the ice that all the time comes back again…and both regret to have not made the effort to have reconciled before. This post is a dedication to those few whom I miss…I love…I wish they were here…to take me back into those memories worth living all over again…Not a day goes by that I don’t regret that it had never happened and I could take back the reason of the distance between us.
I miss you, I crave for you,
I will surely come looking for you,
& if the feelings we shared were true,
Then one day, I will find you.
No matter how long it takes, I do believe that one day it will happen…Time is undoubtedly the greatest healer.
